Why Doesn’t Brookdale Dental Group Accept Every Dental Insurance Plan?

Dental insurance can be confusing, especially when you discover that your dentist does not participate with your specific insurance plan.

Brookdale Dental Group is primarily a fee-for-service practice and participates in three insurance programs. The practice also processes most dental insurance plans. Your insurance benefits are determined by the agreement between you, your employer, and your insurance company—not by the dental office.

Being out-of-network does not automatically mean you cannot receive benefits. Many PPO plans provide some benefits when patients visit an out-of-network dentist, although the amount paid by the plan may be different. Some plans may require patients to use participating providers to receive benefits.

Before treatment, review your deductible, annual maximum, covered percentages, network requirements, and exclusions. Brookdale’s treatment recommendations are based on what is appropriate for your dental health rather than simply what an insurance company chooses to cover.

If you have questions about your coverage, review your policy or contact your insurance provider for the most accurate information about your individual plan.
